ADIB-Egypt, Visa Ink Partnership Protocol
- The partnership aims to improve digital payment channels for customers by developing the best technology solutions and digital alternatives, as well as creating outstanding products using innovative digital platforms.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB-Egypt) signed a cooperation protocol with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, to provide top-quality banking services and technology solutions that meet the needs of all customer segments. It also aims to underpin digital solutions with advanced and competitive products, which aligns with the government's strategy to achieve comprehensive digital transformation and boost e-payment systems.
Under the protocol, the best technology solutions and digital alternatives will be provided for ADIB-Egypt customers, including issuing Visa cards. The protocol also aligns with the bank’s strategy of delivering unique solutions and services that suit all the needs of its customers.
This partnership will boost the use of cards in e-payments inside and outside Egypt i to further enhance our customers’ banking experience, in addition to providing many easy and highly-efficient payment options, ADIB-Egypt said in a statement. The partnership aligns with ADIB-Egypt's strategic plan to transform into a cashless society and to provide easy and secure banking transactions.
“Our partnership with Visa is a true reflection of our commitment to providing the best sharia-compliant banking products and services as well as innovative financial solutions to our customers,” said ADIB-Egypt CEO and MD Mohamed Aly.
This cooperation is in line with our vision, which focuses on providing a comprehensive, high-quality banking experience and various payment options for ADIB-Egypt cardholders, by using digital technologies and solutions, he added. “It also enables us to benefit from Visa’s advanced services, which helps enhance and enrich the customers’ banking experience,” Aly pointed out.
Amr Sanad, Head of Retail Banking at ADIB-Egypt, indicated that the partnership aligns with the bank’s strategy to expand and provide innovative banking solutions for easy and secure banking transactions. This cooperation is another step on the road to ADIB-Egypt’s success in e-payments, especially payment cards.

Sherif Mouneer, Head of Cards Business at ADIB-Egypt explained that the partnership will not be limited to issuing Visa cards to individual customers, as the bank, in cooperation with Visa, will issue corporate cards to the bank's small and medium-sized companies, in addition to FinTech products.
